SA Health COVID-19 Recruitment Drive - Nursing and Midwifery 2021

SA Health is seeking expressions of interest from nurses and midwives (including SA Health employees) to work in existing or newly set up facilities, to provide and support the work that is required to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic across South Australia.

Roles available include:

  • Enrolled Nurses
  • Registered Nurses
  • Registered Midwives
  • Dual-registered Nurses and Midwives

Experience in vaccine administration

We are also seeking expressions of interest from nurse and midwife immunisers who have completed a recognised immuniser program of study and are able to administer vaccinations, in preparation for a potential Australia-wide roll-out of a COVID-19 vaccine (should one become available).


Opportunities may arise in varying locations across South Australia. The location of roles will be dependent on demand on healthcare services, potential locations could include but not limited to:

  • Dedicated COVID-19 clinics and medi-hotels
  • SA Health services, including metropolitan, and rural and remote locations
  • Adelaide airport screening of identified incoming travellers
  • SA Health Aged Care facilities
  • APY Lands

The online application process will ask you for your preferred work location (including locations in metropolitan health services and regional health services across South Australia), and for any additional skills/qualifications/relevant experience you may have.


You must be registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
