COVID Cases in SA
There have been 3,809 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 21,673 active cases in South Australia.
There are 249 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including nine people in ICU. Of those hospitalised, 112 people have received three or more vaccine doses, 71 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 66 have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

The latest genome sampling has found 68.6% of samples analysed were BA.2, 11.7% of samples analysed were BA.4 and 12.6% of samples analysed were BA.5.

Yesterday, 8,418 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 2.1% increase on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 2,037 PCR tests were positive, while 1,772 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
Currently 95.9% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 93.9% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 73.5% of eligible South Australians and 69% of South Australians aged 16+.
