COVID-19 update 22 April 2021

There have been nine new cases of COVID-19 today, all reported from medi-hotels. There have been a total of 702 cases notified in South Australia.
Today’s cases include a teenager, a man in his 30s, a woman in her 40s, and three men in their 40s, who all acquired their infections overseas and have been in medi-hotels since their arrival.
Three of today’s cases, two teenagers and a woman in her 50s, are considered old infections however they have been added to our case numbers as they have not been counted overseas.
A man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s are being treated for COVID-19 related illnesses in the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In addition, a man in his 40s with COVID-19 is being treated for an illness not related to COVID-19. All three patients are in a stable condition. There are no COVID-19 patients in ICU.
