There have been 3,669 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 32,516 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm two men in their 80s and two women in their 70s, who tested positive for COVID-19, have passed away.
There are 225 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 26 people in ICU and seven requiring a ventilator. Of the people hospitalised, 131 are fully vaccinated, 18 are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 76 have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, 91 cases from yesterday have been removed from the total number of cases.

Regular genome sampling is taken to monitor the levels of Omicron within South Australia. 81% of samples taken returned an Omicron result.

COVID SAfe Check-In
Yesterday, 1,444,103 check-ins were made using the COVID Safe Check in app.
Yesterday, 20,058 people received a PCR test in South Australia, a 3.4% increase on the previous 24 hours.
Currently 93.2% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine, 89.4% have received their second dose and there were 16,577 booster shots given yesterday bringing the total booster shots to 295,112.
