There are a number of ways you can be involved with research conducted at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN).
Public involvement in research
Research usually requires volunteers or ‘participants’ who are drawn from members of the community and/or patients at SALHN. If you think you might like to be involved we would love to hear from you.
Join our ethics committee
All studies undertaken at SALHN require ethics approval by our ethics committee. This body is accredited by the National Health and Medical Research Institute (NHMRC) the national body charge with the responsibility of protecting the interests of research participants. You can request to join our ethics committee as we are always looking for new members, be they active researchers, clinicians, community members, lawyers, or ethicists, and would welcome your expression of interest)
For further information, please view Southern Adelaide Clinical Human Research Ethics Committee Membership.
Donations and bequests for research
Research is exciting and often ground breaking but can be expensive to undertake. Anyone can contribute financially to the health and wellbeing of the community by making a donation for the purposes of medical research.
By making a donation or bequest to the Flinders Foundation you will help support a number of research and health care projects, leading to better health outcomes for the present and future generations.
