RANZCOG recognition for FMC’s Associate Professor Rosalie Grivell
Associate Professor Rosalie Grivell – the head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit at Flinders Medical Centre - has been awarded a Distinguished Service Medal by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. The award recognises her significant contribution to the College, particularly her extensive involvement as a mentor, teacher and support for South Australian and Northern Territory Trainees.
‘Rosalie’s commitment and dedication to the work of the College has been in addition to her impressive career; she currently holds the position of Head of Unit, at Flinders Medical Centre and also maintains a position at the University of Adelaide as a senior lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Alongside these positions, Rosalie also has significant involvement in Evidence Based Medicine and its translation into practice with the conduct of clinical trials in maternal and perinatal health, her current research focusses on the health of women and babies including fetal growth and surveillance, induction of labour and pregnancies for women who are overweight and obese,’ the RANZOG citation said.
