He is a talented medical resident, excels academically (achieving record marks on international medical exams), teaches the next generation (creating practice exams for medical students), improves others’ joy at work (writing on wellness and resilience in medical/nursing students) and programs neural networks (using deep learning algorithms to solve hospital medicine’s most wicked problems).
FINALIST: Ellie Seiboth – Leadership in Expanding Regional Cancer Services

Ellie Seiboth has excelled in her role as Manager of Cancer Services for the Rural Support Service (RSS), supporting six regional Local Health Networks (LHNs) and expanding regional cancer services for people living in rural South Australia. She is a worthy recipient of this award as she demonstrates the essential qualities of an effective leader; a wonderful asset for regional health services and the health system as a whole.
FINALIST: Eliza Graham
Country Health Connect, Port Lincoln, EFNLHN
Eliza has recently been appointed to a leadership role; she has quickly demonstrated exceptional leadership and analytical skills. She has transformed the culture of the team, engaged and developed allied health assistants, developed processes that efficiently use scarce resources and most importantly, through service redesign, has improved patient outcomes using an innovative model of care. Eliza’s enthusiastic attitude has been instrumental in achieving improved outcomes and a positive team culture.
