If you need support with your mental health, there are free services available across South Australia that can help – whether you need someone to talk to, help finding the right service, or urgent care in a mental health crisis.

Medicare Mental Health phone line – 1800 595 212
Free phone support to help you find the right support for your situation. You can speak with a mental health worker who will listen, talk through your options and connect you with appropriate services.

Medicare Mental Health Centres
Medicare Mental Health Centres are safe, welcoming spaces where you can walk in and get free mental health support.
Speak with a mental health worker who will listen, provide support and help connect you with the care you need.

I need ongoing support
For ongoing mental health care, your GP is a good place to start. They can assess your needs and, if appropriate, prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan that gives you access to Medicare-subsidised sessions with a mental health professional.
