Yarrow Place Rape and Sexual Assault Service is an inclusive service for anyone who has been sexually assaulted.
Yarrow Place is a state-wide service. Outside of the metro area, we have professional social workers/clinicians as part of our Country Response Program. They are based in country regions with general hospitals to provide counselling support. These regions include:
Our clinicians also provide outreach counselling services to surrounding areas such as Port Augusta and Port Lincoln. This includes face to face and phone counselling support.
Our services are free and confidential. We also provide training and education.

Our Purpose – Provide professional trauma informed specialist counselling to people who have experienced a rape or sexual assault. Assist community to respond from a victim’s focused approach to enhance safety, wellbeing and promote successful recovery for survivors in country regions.

The objectives of the Country Response Program are:
People who have been recently sexually assaulted in the country can receive medical care by a doctor or nurse and collection of forensic evidence for people who are considering legal action. The Riverland, Mount Gambier, Whyalla and Port Lincoln hospitals or GP services can provide this.
