Paediatric Speech Pathology Clinic

Function: The FMC Paediatric Speech Pathology Clinic provides services to children below four years of age. We can assist with issues such as:

  • fussy or problem feeders
  • tube weaning
  • cleft lip and palate (includes feeding and complex
  • language and speech development)

Videofluoroscopy Swallow Screen (VFSS) is also available.

Patients in the community who require speech pathology services not provided through FMC (such as delayed language development or stuttering) may access them through their local community health centres, schools and kindergartens, Intellectual Disability Services Council, Novita Children’s Services.

Referral details and information for GPs

Internal and external referrals are accepted. Please contact us to discuss eligibility. Parents may refer children with feeding concerns and appointments are prioritised based on clinical need.
