Consumer experiences of SA Dental

SA Dental consumer experience surveys

SA Dental regularly conducts surveys as one way of finding out what clients have to say about our service and identifying any areas in which we can improve.

Services for children

Parents/guardians are randomly selected to complete a survey for children who are aged less than 18 years who have attended a School Dental Service Clinic.

The latest survey of our school dental services was conducted in March 2020, and some of the results included:

  • 167 (12%) of surveys were completed electronically
  • 160 (96%) rated their dental clinic experience as “good” or “very good”
  • 165 (99%) considered staff welcoming and helpful
  • 165 (99%) felt they were treated with dignity and respect
  • 166 (99%) felt staff “always” explained things in a way they could understand
  • 166(99%) felt they “definitely” or “to some extent” were involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their child’s care
  • 161 (96%) thought staff “definitely” or “to some extent” worked well together to plan and coordinate their child’s care.
