COVID-19 restrictions

Amendments have been made to the South Australian Public Health Act 2011 to enable important public health measures to be maintained to limit the spread of COVID-19.

There are also a number of Directions in place to manage COVID-19.

Governor’s Direction

The Chief Public Health Officer, Professor Nicola Spurrier, has recommended that a Governor’s Direction be issued under section 90C of the South Australian Public Health Act 2011 to sustain the requirements for isolation and quarantine of COVID-19 cases and close contacts to reduce the rate of transmission of COVID-19 in South Australia.
