International Allied Health Professions Day

Held annually on 14 October, Allied Health Professions Day is an internationally recognised event that acknowledges the incredible multidisciplinary teams who diagnose, prevent, and manage the health of their patients through evidence-based practices and informed decision making.


SA Health has over 5,000 allied and scientific health professionals providing a range of diagnostic, technical and therapeutic services across South Australia.

Allied and scientific health professions include:

Allied Health Professions Day Quiz Winners 2023

We celebrated International Allied Health Professions Day. The internationally recognised day is an opportunity to recognise the tireless and important work of over 5000 inspiring allied and scientific health professionals that work in SA Health.

DHW Allied Health and Executive staff showed appreciation for the many allied and scientific health professionals that support the health and wellbeing of South Australians with an afternoon tea.
