The Trauma Informed Care Practice: Stage 2 Practical skills application (Clinical Aspects) workshop has been developed to provide participants with practical skill(s) application(s) focussing on clinical aspects of trauma informed care practice.

The workshop aims to describe what trauma informed care practice looks and feels like along with: -

  • Core principles and frameworks
  • Ways to engage
  • Promoting and consolidating a shared understanding of trauma informed care practice.

Facilitated by Mental Health Education Hub SA.

Target audience

An intermediate course for all mental health clinicians and health practitioners.

Prerequisites

Successfully completed the Stage 1 (Foundation Knowledge) Trauma and Mental Health available on the Mental Health Professional Online Development (MHPOD)  Program website.

Course length and delivery method

3 ½ hours.

Available by Zoom or face to face.

Outcomes

  • To learn about various relevant trauma processes, principles and frameworks.
  • Understanding trauma, its impact and influence
  • Understanding the importance of context of treatment, engagement and relationship
  • The opportunity to better understand trauma from a lived experienced perspective/s

An administration fee of $25.00 will apply to all participants if you do not attend without notice on the day, or cancel within 24 hours of the course commencing.
