Therapeutic Recovery

The Therapeutic Recovery workshop supports the mental health workforce to strengthen practical skills and confidently apply recovery-oriented practice in everyday work.

This workshop explores what recovery can look like and feel like from the perspective of people accessing services, while recognising that recovery is a personal, non-linear and evolving process.

Participants will explore:

The foundations of recovery-oriented practice
Core recovery principles and relevant frameworks
Understanding relapse as part of the recovery journey
Practical ways to support hope, choice and collaboration in practice

This interactive session encourages reflection, discussion and real-world application across a range of roles and settings.

Facilitated by Mental Health Education Hub SA.

Target audience

An intermediate course suitable for mental health clinicians, lived experience workforce and health professionals.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the Recovery Module – Stage 1 available on the Mental Health Professional Online Development (MHPOD) website.

Course length and delivery method

3 ½ hours.

Available by Zoom or face to face.

An administration fee of $25.00 will apply to all participants if you do not attend without notice on the day, or cancel within 24 hours of the course commencing.

Relevant completion documentation is required at time of submission.

The Mental Health Education Hub SA does not maintain waiting lists.
