The inaugural South Australian Allied Health Research Forum was held on 23 May 2019 exploring the theme “Beyond the brilliant idea; planning, doing and applying research in clinical practice”. The forum saw nearly 200 clinicians and clinical researchers from across SA Health Allied Health came together with leaders in Allied Health research and key industry partners.
Topics addressed on the day included highlighting the need for research to have an impact focus, the importance of collaboration with consumers, clinicians and policy makers throughout the research journey and further developing the research culture within allied health. Attendees were left with a broader appreciation of the concept of translational research and came away inspired and motivated to implement learnings back in their work place.
