Allied health and support roles within NALHN
Allied health and Allied health support roles at NALHN help people recover, stay well and remain connected, providing practical, cultural and emotional support.
Make a real difference in people's lives by joining the allied health workforce in the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN).
Allied health professionals work directly with people to assess needs, deliver therapy and practical support, and help individuals live healthier, more independent lives. They support recovery, wellbeing and quality of life through hands on care, education and rehabilitation.
Our allied health staff work across acute (hospital-based) care, including emergency departments, critical care, orthopaedics, paediatrics, neurology, respiratory, cardiology, general surgery, general medical wards and mental health wards.
In sub-acute areas, they work across rehabilitation, aged care and palliative care, as well as community settings and homes.
To work as an allied heath professional, you’ll need to be degree-qualified. Within SA Health, there are defined minimum qualifications required for each discipline area.
If you’re studying towards a degree, or perhaps not sure which allied heath discipline you would like to establish a career in, you could still work within our allied health support teams. These roles include allied health assistants and spiritual care staff. You could also align with our Mental Health allied health roles as an Aboriginal mental health worker, rehabilitation support worker, or lived experience worker.
With growing demand and diverse opportunities, it's the perfect time to join NALHN for a fulfilling career, supporting health and well-being in your community.
Salaries and other employment conditions are determined by the Allied Health Professionals, Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement or the South Australian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried.
