Regional professional development offers numerous opportunities for career advancement, including free courses and programs available through FUNLHN and the Nursing and Midwifery Board.

Your five-day orientation at FUNLHN will include training in Sunrise (electronic patient records), and introductions to key personnel, including the Education Team, Managers, and the Director of Nursing, who will support you throughout your tenure. Your initial days on the ward will be supernumerary, allowing you to acclimate with the guidance of experienced staff and the Education Team. Supernumerary days will also be available at the start of each new rotation.

To fulfill program requirements, you will be required to attend four study days throughout the year. These sessions will provide intensive education designed to enhance your skills and support your professional growth.

The Education Team will continue to support you throughout your time at the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network, offering further professional development and career progression opportunities.
