The Transition to Professional Practice Programs will assist you, as a newly Registered Midwife, to consolidate your knowledge and expand your clinical skills and experience as a Midwife. You will gain experience in a wide variety of clinical settings, providing you with the opportunity to consolidate your theory with practice.
SA Health offers over 60 positions for newly graduated Registered Midwives in metropolitan and regional health services across South Australia in the annual Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP).
If you are also a new Registered Nurse you may be interested in the combined Registered Midwife/Registered Nurse TPPP offered by the regional Local Health Networks.
SA Health also offers a limited number of positions in the Collaborative TPPP, offered through a joint partnership between a regional health service and a metropolitan hospital. The Collaborative TPPP provides you the opportunity to complete your TPPP in two diverse clinical environments as you transition to professional practice as a newly registered midwife.
