SA Health aims to reduce the gap in health outcomes between South Australia’s Aboriginal people and the rest of the state’s population
This Scholarship Program is funded by Country Health SA Local Health Network under the Minister of Health and Ageing and is designed to increase the number of professionally qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working in rural South Australia.
The program is currently in its fourth year of operation and can provide up to $5,000 per year for a full-time study load.
Country Health SA LHN is committed to the provision of safe and high quality services that protect and enhance the health of rural South Australians.
Applicants must be residents of rural South Australia and provide a Confirmation of Aboriginality, they must also be enrolled or about to commence an undergraduate degree at University into a health related education course such as, but not limited to:
Successful recipients must work for a rural public sector health service within Country Health SA LHN upon completion of their course for a period equivalent to the years of program funding provided to them.
