Consultation on Draft Private Health Facility Data and Expanded Cancer Data Set Regulations
SA Health is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all South Australians.
We are in the process of introducing two new Regulations to the Health Care Regulations (2008) to support statewide health service planning, population health planning and improve patient health outcomes.
We are seeking your feedback on the draft Regulations:
- The proposed Private Health Facility Data Regulation (PDF 156KB) will require private health facilities (private hospitals and private day procedures to provide the same identified patient health care data to the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) that public hospitals are required to provide.
- The proposed Expanded Cancer Data Set Regulation (PDF 148KB) will require public and private hospitals, health services and pathology laboratories to provide data on cancer treatment, prognosis (predictive factors for how the cancer will behave) and recurrence (when a cancer thought to have been cured returns) to DHW.

The consultation will close at 5pm, Friday 17th September 2021.
