Cultural reform policies

Consultation closed 14 September 2020.

The SA Health Integrity Program is being implemented to guide improvements to governance and culture in SA Health.

An important part of this work is delivering cultural reform with a specific focus on building a culture of integrity and safety.

This work is being led by Dr Mike Cusack and is supported by a Cultural Reform Reference Group, including Local Health Network Chief Executive Officers and the Commissioner of Public Sector Employment.

The policies under review will further reinforce SA Health’s commitment to a positive culture within the workplace.

Respectful Behaviours Policy Directive

As part of SA Health’s commitment to promoting a positive and professional working environment and a culture of respect, a review of the ‘Respectful Behaviours Policy Directive’ has taken place and a new ‘Prevention and Management of Workplace Bullying and Harassment Policy Directive’ has been drafted.

The ‘Respectful Behaviour Policy Directive’ (PDF 524KB) intends to promote a positive and professional working environment and a culture of respect to ensure all staff and consumers are valued, safe and supported.

Prevention and Management of Workplace Bullying and Harassment Policy Directive

The ‘Prevention and Management of Workplace Bullying and Harassment Policy Directive' (PDF 427KB) intends to foster a culture of respect and having zero tolerance for the unacceptable behaviours, such as bullying, harassment, discrimination, sexual harassment or victimisation.  The Policy Directive clarifies the meaning of these terms and provide options to address complaints relating to such behaviours.
