We value strong relationships with our communities and believe that collaboration leads to better health outcomes. Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) is committed to listening, learning and working together with consumers, families and community groups to improve how we plan and deliver our services.
Working together
We partner with local organisations, community groups and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to design and deliver services that are inclusive, culturally respectful and meaningful. These partnerships help ensure our services meet the diverse needs of the people we serve.
Get involved
There are different ways to be involved in shaping health services across our region. We welcome participation from people of all backgrounds, including consumers, carers, families and community members. BHFLHN regularly provides opportunities for the community to provide feedback on policies and plans that affect the delivery of public health services in the region.
Health Advisory Councils
In regional South Australia, Health Advisory Councils play an important role in strengthening the connection between local communities and health services.
There are six Health Advisory Councils across the BHFLHN:
- Barossa and Districts Health Advisory Council Inc.
- Eudunda, Kapunda Health Advisory Council Inc.
- Gawler District Health Advisory Council Inc.
- Hills Area Health Advisory Council
- Kangaroo Island Health Advisory Council Inc.
- Southern Fleurieu Health Advisory Council Inc.
