Visiting Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement negotiations 2019
On 30 June 2018, the SA Health Visiting Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2017 nominally expired. Formal negotiations for a new enterprise agreement commenced 27 February 2018.
A new Enterprise Agreement has been negotiated between the South Australian Medical Officers Association (SASMOA), Industrial Relations for the Department of Treasury and Finance, and the Department for Health and Wellbeing in accordance with the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA).
A ballot will be taken of all Visiting Medical Specialist Employees in SA Health. Voting is not mandatory, however, if a majority of employees who vote support this proposed agreement (i.e. vote yes), an application under the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA) will be made to the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) for approval.
The new enterprise agreement will only have effect if approved by the SAET.
