World Pharmacists Day - Excellence Awards

The inaugural: World Pharmacists Day – Excellence Awards were presented on the 25th of September 2025.

The awards recognised and celebrated pharmacists and pharmacy teams, specifically where they have demonstrated significant impact through the implementation of new South Australian pharmacy initiatives.

The awards align with the 2025 theme announced by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), “Think Health, Think Pharmacist”, emphasising the crucial role pharmacists play in providing safe, cost-effective, and accessible healthcare, especially in the face of growing healthcare demands and challenges.

Presentation of the awards

Award recipients demonstrated achievements in patient care, innovation, leadership, and professional practice, reflecting the vital role pharmacists play in improving health outcomes and supporting their communities. We received a large number of nominations from individuals and teams across the public, private, and academic sectors in South Australia.
