2022 metropolitan winner

City of Port Adelaide Enfield – Food Security – COVID-19 Recovery – supporting people on low incomes’ project

The City of Port Adelaide and Enfield was named the 2022 Metropolitan Winner and awarded $3,000 for its commitment to strengthening access to healthy food locally, for individuals and families on low or no-income.

It successfully engaged single women and their families, and people at risk through COVID-19, social disadvantage and isolation.

The prize money supported the city to undertake the ‘Access to Nutritious Food Experience Survey’ which focused on understanding the impact of COVID-19 on food security in Port Adelaide and on the Lefevre Peninsula.

Findings inform planning and support for the City of Port Adelaide and Enfield’s food relief agencies and volunteers. As well as feeding into a broader project partnership with Wellbeing SA.
