Ceduna region Meningococcal W Vaccination Program

The Ceduna region meningococcal W vaccination program is a limited time vaccination program against meningococcal serogroup W (MenW) disease that will be offered to people living in Ceduna and the surrounding areas. The program is in response to an increase in recent months of meningococcal infection caused by a particular type of the bacteria, ‘serogroup W’, in the Ceduna region.

This program will be offered free of charge to all adults and children (greater than two months of age) living in the below listed areas.

Had your Meningococcal B and C vaccinations? You will still need your MenW

This meningococcal W vaccination is completely different to the vaccine being offered to year 10, 11 and 12 students as part of the Meningococcal B “B Part of It” study.

Children who received their meningococcal C vaccination at 12 month of age will still need to receive their meningococcal W vaccination as part of this program.
