If you wish to make an appointment for a Pap smear, please contact either your:

• local doctor
• women’s health centre
• community health centre
• Aboriginal health service
• migrant health service
• Shine SA clinics
• GP Plus Health Care centres.

When you make an appointment, ask your health service provider if there are any out of pocket expenses.

Pap smear reminder service

Pap smear reminder service, also known as the Back-up Record System is a free service provided by SA Health. After your first Pap smear, your details will be held on our central database and used to automatically remind you when your two-yearly Pap smear or other follow-up cervical cancer related tests are overdue.
