Radiology

Radiology offers medical imaging services for veterans and the community. Services include:

  • angiography
  • general xrays
  • CT scanning
  • general, musculoskeletal and vascular ultrasound
  • obstetric ultrasound
  • digital fluoroscopy
  • interventional radiology

Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

After hours: Radiology provides an on-call service for hospital emergencies.

Referral: general practitioners (GP) and medical specialists

 

Rapid Access Medical Service (RAMS)

RAMS is a public non-emergency medical service which assesses patients within 24 to 48 hours of GP referral. People with complex or undiagnosed medical conditions are assessed by experienced practitioners. See the Rapid Access Medical Service (RAMS) page for more information.

 

Rehabilitation & Aged care - 4th Generation Rehabilitation Clinics

RGH Rehabilitation & Aged Care help veterans and the community recover from injury, illness and medical conditions and care for older people. 

Services range from inpatient care and a day hospital centre to community and outreach programs all of which are for people who have experienced medical conditions such as:

  • stroke
  • functional decline
  • degenerative neurological disorders
  • amputation 
  • orthopaedic surgery
  • fractures

Respiratory Medicine

Respiratory Medicine offers inpatient and outpatient services for people with respiratory and lung conditions. Services include:

  • outpatient physician consultations
  • respiratory function
  • cardio-pulmonary exercise testing
  • outreach nursing and support
  • respiratory education
  • clinical trials
  • respiratory psychologist
  • Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health

Rheumatology

RGH Rheumatology provides services for people with a predominant musculo-skeletal condition such as:

  • degenerative joint
  • muscle
  • tendon
  • bone
  • spine

The unit also specialises in:

  • inflammatory conditions
  • auto-immune connective tissue diseases
  • metabolic bone disorders including osteoporosis
