Admission to hospital can be a stressful event and Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) staff and volunteers are there to help you. Feeling confident about your treatment is an important part of the healing process. We encourage you to ask questions and discuss with us any concerns you may have.

Consumer feedback

The Consumer Advisory Service (CAS) coordinates consumer feedback, including:

  • complaints
  • compliments
  • suggestions
  • enquiries

The CAS is responsible for promoting a consumer-focused approach to consumer feedback as part of continual quality improvement processes. The service focuses on assisting consumers and their family members to identify improvements in our health service.

The service also assists with:

  • information about the relevant site's services
  • mediation with health professionals
  • in-service staff training

A signed ‘Authority for the Release of Personal Information' form will be required to provide you with a full response, if you are raising concerns on behalf of another person. If you have Medical Power of Attorney or Enduring Power of Guardianship, this may be required. This should be discussed with the Consumer Advisory Service: telephone (08) 8204 5433.
