Services at Penola Health Service
The following services are available:
Accident and emergency
Penola Community Health does not offer an emergency service. The nearest emergency facilities are located at the Penola War Memorial Hospital.
For 24-hour emergency assistance and information, phone the Rural and Remote Mental Health Service at 13 14 65.
Mental health practitioners visit as required.
Primary health care services and Health Promotion Unit
Our programs and services include:
- community nursing care
- home equipment hire
- home support
- Meals on Wheels.
Day Care Services provides social, recreational activities and fitness for people with disabilities, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, older people and those with dementia and related disorders.
Sessions are held on Tuesday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm at the Uniting Church Hall, Queen Street, Penola.

Penola Hospital Community Health partnered with South East Regional Community Health Service provide many allied health services. These services include:
- aboriginal health
- drug and alcohol services
- mental health, for all ages
- occupational therapy

- speech therapy.
