The nearest birthing facilities are at Port Lincoln Hospital. A shared care arrangement with a local GP and community midwives assists women with care before and after childbirth.

General medical and surgical care includes outpatient services and palliative care.

Uringa Hostel (from the Aboriginal word for ‘long beach’), is an attractive living environment for frail older people and/or disabled persons who need a low level of care.

There are permanent residency units and by arrangement, limited respite accommodation for short term care.
