The Government of South Australia wants to recognise and showcase businesses and community organisations that make changes to support healthy living for staff, customers and volunteers.
We can all play a part in helping South Australians be healthier
There are plenty of ways businesses and organisations can boost the health and vibrancy of their staff and customers.
Be inspired by other South Australian businesses and organisations who are making a difference to help make healthy choices the easy choices for their staff and customers.
Organisations that can make a difference to help South Australia be healthier include:
- Learning places: preschools, schools, TAFE and university. While outside of the learning sector, child care centres, family day care, out of school hours care and playgroups are important places for role modelling healthy living.
- Workplaces: this includes state government departments, non-government organisations, and businesses of all size across a range of services, professions and industries, including food retailers, supermarkets and foodservices (restaurants, cafes, takeaways etc).
- Community organisations and services: councils, health services, youth services, community centres, disability organisations, migrant services, sport and recreation clubs, sporting venues, museums, parks etc.
