Health information for the clinician

RSS feeds

RSS feeds (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) are one of the latest, quickest and easiest ways of receiving regular updates from your favourite journals or websites. Instead of searching each individual resource for current information a RSS link will “feed” or “channel” all new content directly to one page. This is not only more convenient, but will save you time.

Below are links to some of the more popular journals and health/medical sites. Each link will take you directly to the RSS page where you can view the latest “headlines” and articles from that publication or organisation - this information is frequently updated, so you are always looking current content.

You may also choose to keep track of your own favourite journals and sites. This is a great way of easily keeping up-to-date with the latest information. Your list of feeds can be created in two ways, one relies on your internet browsers such as Firefox or Internet Explorer, or an email program such as Outlook; and the other requires a feed reader and a simple account to be created. For more information on RSS feeds, feed readers and creating your list of favourite journals and site please see the related information links.
