Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Bargaining

As part of ongoing negotiations, employer representatives met with SA Salaried Medical Officers Association (SASMOA) representatives at a conference in the Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia on 14 March 2012.

During these discussions, employer representatives proposed to narrow the agenda to assist negotiations in progressing.

The parties have agreed to have further discussions about this approach.

SA Health is committed to working with SASMOA to reach agreement on a new Salaried Medical Officers enterprise agreement which recognises the important contribution doctors make to the South Australian public health system and addresses the Department’s vital health reform agenda.

The current Department of Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement nominally expired on 18 August 2011, but continues in force until superseded or rescinded in accordance with the Fair Work Act 1994.

SA Health will be providing regular updates via email to keep Salaried Medical Officer staff informed on progress towards a new Agreement.

If you would like to register for regular updates, please register your details using the online form. Updates will be provided throughout the negotiation process.

You can access the current enterprise agreement online or ask your site HR Manager for a copy.
