Grants

Major grants and Pap Awareness Week community grants are available now to increase participation of women in cervical screening.

Back-up Record System

The Back-up Record System (BRS) is a central database that contains a history of Pap smears and other cervical cancer related test results for the women who have had Pap smears or other cervical cancer related tests in South Australia.

The BRS:

  • reminds women and their doctors when follow-up tests are overdue
  • assists laboratory staff when assessing current tests
  • supports doctors in providing appropriate management according to the national guidelines.

Details on the BRS, the information that is collected and how women can ‘opt-off’ the system is available in the BRS frequently asked questions.
