Gynaecological Cancer Pathway

The incidence of gynaecological cancer in Australia has increased in recent years. In South Australia (SA), gynaecological cancers contribute to approximately 3.73% of all cancer deaths.

Optimal management of gynaecological cancer is achieved through a coordinated service provision between public and private hospitals, general practitioners (GPs), Aboriginal Health Services and Palliative care services. Timely access to treatment and supportive care is important to maximise quality of life.
