Aboriginal participation through employment, in the design, delivery and evaluation of the culturally responsive services provided through SA Health is crucial in achieving quality service provision and equitable health outcomes.
Aboriginal Health Workforce
SA Health offers a variety of employment opportunities and an extensive choice of areas for specialisation and advancement for professionals who want to work in Aboriginal health in South Australia.
If you have skills, experience or a degree in:
- the arts
- Aboriginal health
- psychology or another health-related discipline,
you can contribute towards making improvements in Aboriginal health in South Australia.
The Aboriginal Health Branch supports all Local Health Networks and works in collaboration with the preferred registered training organisation, the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA).
Certificate level qualifications delivered by AHCSA are required for the Aboriginal Health Worker and Aboriginal Health Practitioner roles in both state government and the Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
