The booklet ‘Don’t fall for it – falls can be prevented’ is a guide to preventing falls for older people. It is aimed at older people living in the community and their families and carers. It describes the fall risk factors for older people and hazards in their surroundings. It also describes what to do in the event of a fall.
Free copies can be obtained from the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. Translated copies of this book are also available.
