Consumer and community participation

SA Health released its Consumer and Community Participation Policy Directive and Guideline in August 2009.

These governance documents aim to ensure consumers and the community have the ability to participate in health care decisions.

They are also a guide to support managers and staff to develop a culturally appropriate organisation that is responsive to the perspectives and needs of a diverse range of consumers and community members.
