Medical Education and Training Principles Strategic Priority Consultation

Ongoing education and training is core to successful, quality patient care. Healthcare professionals recognise that in order to keep up-to-date with modern medicine, ongoing education and training is essential.

The South Australian Medical Education Training (SA MET) Health Advisory Council and SA MET Education Committee has developed a Medical Education and Training Principles - Our Strategic Priority document.

The document outlines education principles for the medical workforce that emphasise a culture of education and training is central to providing quality patient care and demonstrates what success looks like when this culture is achieved.

To achieve success there needs to be a commitment from our community leaders to our most junior members and these principles look to activate and consolidate that commitment.

The SA MET Education Committee wants to hear your opinion on the document and is seeking feedback from SA Health clinicians and healthcare providers.

We invite you to peruse the principles document and provide feedback.
