SA Health Awards

There are a number of awards that highlight research excellence in South Australia. These are:

SA Health Research Awards

This program provides funding for PhD and Post Doctoral Fellowships at the Flinders University, University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide. Applicants are nominated by a research supervisor within the Faculties of Health Sciences at each university. Successful applicants are selected on potential to contribute to South Australia’s Strategic Plan health targets and health economics research and evaluation.

SA Health Awards: Research/Education in Patient/Consumer Safety  

This award recognises individuals, teams, programs and projects that demonstrate an outstanding achievement in research and/or education in patient and consumer safety.

The Research/Education in Patient/Consumer Safety Award supports the priorities of the Safety and Quality Program 2007-2011.

South Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards

These awards recognise excellence and acknowledge the significant contribution and pivotal role that nurses and midwives make to their professions, their team and the community through their practice.

The Young Investigator Award

This award is a highly successful event rewarding excellence in South Australia's young researchers in both science and their ability to communicate and 'sell' that science. The Award is an initiative of the Children, Youth and Women's Health Service and the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Adelaide.
