SA Ambulance Service Volunteer Health Advisory Council (SAASVHAC)

The SAAS Volunteer Health Advisory Council (SAASVHAC) provides advice to the SA Ambulance Service chief executive officer and the Minister for Health and Wellbeing on volunteer related ambulance matters. The council also advocates on behalf of volunteers.

SAASVHAC advises SA Ambulance Service on issues relating to the budgetary process of the Country Capital Reserve Fund and the Country Operating Reserve Fund. These funds are used to provide buildings, vehicles, and training aids and to cover other expenses associated with operating effective country ambulance services.

Delegates and zones

The council comprises two delegates from seven different zones across the state, elected by their peers. Delegates meet every two months and are joined at these meetings by management representatives.
