South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute - Wellbeing and Resilience Centre (SAHMRI WRC)

Individual and community wellbeing and resilience are recognised as important components of strong and healthy communities. There are substantial variations in individual and community wellbeing across the South Australian population. Those who are disadvantaged are more likely to experience lower levels of physical and mental health, fewer educational and employment opportunities, and poorer overall wellbeing.

SAHMRI W.R.C and the Department for Health and Ageing will work in partnership to explore opportunities to enhance the wellbeing and resilience of the South Australian population through a number of agreed strategies and actions, including developing a shared understanding of the concepts of wellbeing and resilience, and contributing to a more comprehensive approach to measuring and monitoring wellbeing and resilience.
